Cyn Tremeau and Mike Ault’s musical collaboration began in late 2015 when Cyn (a vocalist, actress, and songwriter originally from Rochester, NY) sat down with Mike (a local guitar prodigy, long-time member of the Paul Reed Smith Band, composer, and accomplished studio musician) to collaborate on some songs she’d been developing (in angst).  The two worked together over the next 5 weeks, and after completing 10 songs, they realized they had great rapport and that the songs themselves might even have "legs", and (if nothing else) a lot of "heart," so they decided to record them and continue writing (forming a musical marriage, of sorts).

They spent most of 2016 recording their first full length CD All She Wrote (alt-rock/pop) in the "Red Room" at Cue Studios in Falls Church, VA (and occassionally in the Duende Music make-shift "Yellow Room") with the talented and WAMA award winning Producer/Engineering team Jim Ebert and Sean Russell.  They were incredibly fortunate to have top DC musicians lend their talents to this project:  Eric Scott (on bass), and both Andy Hamburger and Nate Brown (on drums).   Final editing, post production, the coolest loops, and mixing was skillfully provided by Ken Barnum of Bias Studios.  All She Wrote was mastered by grammy winner Bill Wolf, and is now available for purchase and download on this website where you can also sign up for the artists mailing list and view their calendar of events/performances and on iTunes.

While recording the album, Cyn and Mike formed Duende Music LLC, a music publishing and distribution partnership, and became members of ASCAP.  They have co-written over 30 original songs in 2016, which they will continue to play and promote at song-writing showcases in NYC, Austin, TX, VA and MD, and as opportunities allow locally.  They plan to release these new songs as singles or as titles on upcoming CDs.

Mike and Cyn also perform occasionally as an acoustic duo at local venues in the NOVA/METRO DC area where they offer an eclectic mix of their favorite rock, pop, folk, and blues covers along with a few originals weaved in.

In preparation for the launch of their first full-length CD All She Wrote, the songwriting team formed the Tremeau-Ault Band.  Please like them on http://www.facebook.com/cyntremeauandmikeault to ensure you are up to date on announcements.
